My very favorite song to sing is "Come All Ye Fair and Tender Maidens". Not that it's suitable for karaoke.

Racehl Ries's "I Could Leave You" would be, though...

My go to singer/songs for Karaoke? I'm old school, so Journey, Air Supply or Elton John is good for me!

I don't sing in public - just my car. But I would have to go with Queen's "Somebody to Love".

that is easy, Barbie Girl by Aqua. I sing both parts...I love karaoke, and cant wait to hit the rooms in Japan during our holidays there!

Interesting question! I'd have to sing the old standard "Fever" or maybe "Walking on Sunshine" just for fun.

hmmm, I haven't sung karaoke for ages. I'd probably choose something old and in a lower range. Maybe Annie's Song (I know, boring, but I can sing it!). AmyPC

I am going to go with anything Disney. I love Disney songs, they have a way of making you smile.

It would probably be something by Patsy Cline -- maybe 'I Fall to Pieces.' ~likes2read2, Gryffindor

Only karaoke'd once and sang "Don't Come Home a Drinkin' With Lovin' on Your Mind". DH sings regularly and I like it when he sings "Only the Good Die Young."

Probably Ice Ice Baby, but only with my one friend. Because it's special for us, and we are dorks! lol I'm not going to admit that I have a certain undergarment autographed by Vanilla Ice, either. Nope, not gonna admit that! ;0)

Karaoke! Hmm.... I think I'd pick "Forget About the Boy" from Thoroughly Modern Millie. But only if I had magical tap dancing powers.

I like to rock out, so I'd have to go with Steppenwolf's "Born to be Wild" or Janis Joplin's "Me and Bobby McGee".

My bf and bff always sing Country Roads by John Denver whenever we go to Karaoke. Although if I had to do it by myself I'd probably do some Journey or maybe something Country since that's what I listen to the most.

I'm not a karaoke person, but my favorite story about karaoke is my friend M who would get drunk, request Like a Prayer, by Madonna, but really mean Like a Virgin, then stomp around the stage, upset because it wasn't the right song. =)

"Don't Stop Believing" by Journey!!! I rock out to that all the time!

Karaoke? In public? Hmm, it would have to be something not too embarrassing, like Only Hope by Mariah Carey in A Walk to Remember. (Cheesy, I know, but I like the song) :D

After reading everyone else's comments, I can't decide! I love "Me & Bobby McGee," the Janis Joplin or Kris Kristoferson versions, Also agree w/ John Denver - "Take me home, country roads." "Hang On Sloopy" is another fave... Its just too hard to decide!

I love anything by Celine Dion, because all her songs fit perfectly in my range. If I had to pick one, I'd pick "My Heart Will Go On," if only to belt the "Youuuuu're heeeeeeeere, there's NOOOOOOOOthing I feeeeear!" :D

I love Karaoke, and my favourite song to sing is "You have killed me" by Morrissey! - People tell me I am a quite convincing Morrissey impersonator ...

If I ever did karaoke it would have to be Journey or Queen. I would also do Bad Romance by Lady Gaga

I recently found Harvey Danger's "Flagpole Sitta" at a karaoke bar in Portland. That made my month. One that I would really like to sing would be "Because the Night", the 10,000 Maniacs version.

Ok, so this is what I wrote originally, but I made a mistake and can't figure out how to edit it...

Karaoke? In public? Hmm, it would have to be something not too embarrassing, like Only Hope by Mariah Carey in A Walk to Remember. (Cheesy, I know, but I like the song) :D

Anyway, the song, Only Hope, is actually sung by Mandy Moore, not Mariah Carey. Sorry!

Karaoke? Eep! I'm a terrible singer, but I love to belt out hits when I'm alone, with my music blaring. I'd sing Billie Jean by Michael Jackson. :) -seakame

Heart of the Highland by Capercaille. Partly because it suits my voice and partly because, well, it is a dream. No kareoke organiser in the world has ever heard of them :D

Hmmm...the one and only time (so far) I've done karaoke, I sang "Manic Monday" and it was quite fun.
But last night my hubby and I had some music playing and both of us agreed that it would be great to find a '30's era type club. He'd wear a fedora, I'd wear a slinky dress. There, I'd have to sing "Fever." Nothing else would fit the scene. :p

I doubt I'll ever be brave enough to actually sing in public, but if I did, I'd go with Queen's "Somebody to Love"

Definitely the Queen of the Night aria. ;)
