Felix Felicis Friday

Good morning witches and wizards it is Felix Felicis Friday once again.  Not just any Felix Felicis Friday, but the last of the term.  So as we rapidly finish up our OWLs, try to squeak out one more class before Sunday and begin to make our way to the train platform we here at the blog want to congratulate everyone on another brilliant term.  It always amazes me how fast time moves in the wizarding world.  It was barely spring and now it is wicked hot (or cold for our lovely southern hemisphere house cuppers).  I had a basket full of stash and now am sitting on twenty seven finished objects including an Arithmancy OWL. 

Severus Snape strides into the room, grabs Rockinsticks by the ear pulling her to a standing position.

"Ms. Sticks, while amusing, your aptitude for boring the masses is wearing on the entire castle.  Please, get to the prizes."

"Yes, sir."

So, um, the Felix Felicis question of the month for July was as follows:

"You've been employed in R&D at Weasley's Wizard Wheezies to create gag crafting notions. Which notion would you use and what would it's joke element be? Maybe stitch markers that inexplicably tighten as you work until you cannot get them off the needles?"

Aparently there are quite a few aspiring Weasleys in the crafting castle.  Answers were everything from tape measures that change length every time you use them, needles that change diameter mid-work, and blocking mats that scream every time you push a pin in them.  It was a long night of deliberations but the winner is.......

who said, "I would create dangle-ly stitch markers that get heavier the longer they are on the same project, causing the project to get really heavy unless it is knitted quickly. They would return to normal once removed from the project so they can be used on the next one.

I can see it now.....

DH: "honey, what are you doing at 2 am?"


Me: "knitting, these stitch markers weigh a pound each and they will only get heavier if I don't finish this shawl NOW!"

DH: "uhhh..okay, have fun with that."

So there you have it.  Ms. Cookie please pm me your address and you will receive a package of goodies, including - wait for it----stitch markers.
