Hello, my lovely Hogwarts students! How I have missed you!
Apologies for the late posting this week, we had a bit of a blip with blog access, but I'm still with you :)
Sea-Jelly, one of our lovely Transfiguration Assistants, was the victim of my quick-tongued questions this week and a lovely victim she was:
The Books
Which character in Harry Potter do you relate to most?
Luna or Lupin… I always feel for the quiet, almost behind the scenes characters.
If there were one object from the Harry Potter universe that you could pull into real life, what would it be?
Wands - with a wand, I could do a whole lot ;-)
When I ask you what your favorite scene is in the series, what’s the first one that comes to mind?
The first time we see Snape enter the dungeon and snap closed all the windows.
The Basics
When did you first become involved with the House Cup?
Winter 2009.
What is your favorite part of the House Cup?
New friends, funny email and knitting.
Do you have any advice to hand out to the new students here at Hogwarts?
Don’t be afraid to try something new; ask questions, there’s a lot of knowledge hidden in the brains of the other students and teachers.
The Knitty Gritty
Do you knit, crochet, spin? Any other hidden talents?
Mostly knit, but crochet secondary. I sew (40+ years), embroider, do bead embroidery and bead jewelry, inkle weaving and some card weaving. I also draw and paint medieval illuminated manuscripts.
Why did you first pick up your knitting needles (or craft of choice)?
It looked like a relaxing technique - and it is!
Of all of your self-made projects, which one brings you the most pride?
The next one…
Is there a craft or technique you’d like to try that you haven’t gotten to yet?
An adult sweater or full size lace shawl.
