Ummmmm Thursday - Divination Edition

Good morning House Cuppers and welcome to another addition of The Cantankerous Connoisseur.  This week we take our culinary inspriation from Madame Trelwany and our delightful Divination class prompt.

We are down to the wire kids.  One weekend of crafting time left.  If you have yet to look into the future try some tea leaf reading with this recipie for home made Chai tea.

Stove-top Chai
Ingredients:
1 cup of water
1/2 a star of anise star
10-12 whole cloves
6-7 whole allspice
2 cinnamon sticks
6 - 7 white peppercorns
1 cardamon pod
4 - 6 cups whole milk
2 Heaping Tbs. Ceylon or English breakfast black tea leaves.
Sugar to taste.

Directions:
1.  In a saucepan combine the water, anise, cloves, allspice, cinnamon sticks, peppercorns and cardamon.  Bring to a boil.  Remove from the heat and let steep for 5 - 20 minutes depending on desired strength.

2.  Add the milk to the water and spices.  Again bring it just to a boil and remove from heat.

3.  Add the tea leaves and let steep for 5 minutes.  Reheat if necessary.  Stir in sugar to taste and serve in your most "divine" teapot.

Makes one pot.

Tune in tomorrow for our month end Felix Felicis Friday where the winner of January's prize will be announced and next month's Felix Felicis Question issued.
